Plain-English summary: Fro sends real people into real homes. These rules are what make that safe enough to do, so we enforce them. They form part of the Terms of Service.
1. What is not allowed
You may not post, send, list, or upload any of the following anywhere on Fro, in listings, photos, videos, reviews, profiles, usernames, or messages:
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, or intimidation
- Hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
- Threats of violence, or content glorifying violence
- Sexual content, nudity, or any offer or solicitation of sexual services
- Content involving minors in any sexual or exploitative way
- Scams, fraud, phishing, or deliberately false claims about a service
- Impersonating another person, business, or Fro itself
- Spam, bulk or repetitive posting, and off-platform advertising
- Illegal goods or services, including drugs and weapons
- Personal information about someone else shared without their consent
2. Keep the work on Fro
Arranging payment outside Fro is against these rules, and it is not a technicality:
- Payment protection, refunds, and dispute resolution only exist for money that moved through Fro
- A booking paid in cash has no record, no protection, and nothing for our team to act on if it goes wrong
- Steering a customer or provider off-platform can end your account
3. Behaviour during a booking
- Turn up when you said you would, or cancel early enough for the other person to react
- Treat someone's home, and someone in your home, with respect
- No discrimination in who you accept work from or offer work to
- No photography inside a customer's home without their explicit consent, including before-and-after shots
- Do not work under the influence of alcohol or drugs
4. Reviews
- Review only work you actually booked and received
- No paid, traded, or incentivised reviews, in either direction
- No threatening a bad review to extract a discount, and no threatening a bad rating to extract a tip
5. Reporting and blocking
Every profile, listing, review, video, and conversation carries a Report option. Use it: it is the only way our team learns about most of what happens.
- Reports of abusive or objectionable content are reviewed within 24 hours
- You can block someone at the same time you report them. A block works both ways and takes effect immediately
- Blocking is reversible from Settings → Blocked users
- Reporting is not visible to the person you report
6. What we do about it
Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may:
- Remove the content
- Hide a listing pending review
- Suspend an account temporarily
- Permanently ban an account and any accounts connected to it
- Hold or reverse a payment while a case is open
- Refer the matter to law enforcement
Some content is blocked automatically before it ever posts. If you believe a decision was wrong, reply in the case thread under Reports & Disputes and a person will look at it again.
7. In an emergency
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first. Report the case in the app afterwards so there is a record of what happened.
