Provider Addendum
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Plain-English summary: This addendum applies when you offer services on Fro. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Where the two differ on something about providing, this addendum applies.
1. Your independent business
You are an independent business, not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of Fro. You decide:
- What you offer and what you charge
- When you are available, and which requests you accept
- How you do the work and what tools you use
You are responsible for your own taxes, and for any licences, permits, and insurance your work needs where you do it. Fro does not provide insurance for providers.
2. Listings and licences
Everything you list (services, prices, photos, videos, qualifications, and licences) must be accurate, current, and your own. Only offer services you are legally allowed to perform. Licences you upload are reviewed by Fro; a licence that turns out to be false is grounds for removal.
3. Where services happen
Every Fro service is performed at the address the customer gives when booking. Only cover an area you can reach on time.
- While a booking is active, your precise location is shared with that booking's customer so they can see you arrive. Sharing stops when the job ends.
- You start the job with the 6-digit arrival code the customer gives you at the door.
4. Accepting and cancelling
Declining a request you have not accepted costs nothing. Once you accept, the customer is counting on you. If you cancel an accepted booking, the customer is refunded in full, and:
- Within 30 minutes of the booking being made: no charge and no strike.
- 24 hours or more before the start: no strike. The card processing cost of the refund is deducted from your earnings.
- Less than 24 hours before the start: one strike.
- Less than 2 hours before the start, or after it: two strikes.
Strikes are counted over the last 30 days. Each strike carries a charge deducted from your earnings that rises with the strikes you already have: the first costs only the card processing; after that 5% of the service price (at least $5, at most $25), then 10% ($10 to $40), 15% ($15 to $60), and 20% ($20 to $80). Strikes also lower where your services appear in search. The exact amount is shown before you confirm a cancellation, and the amount shown is the amount applied.
Once work has started, neither side can cancel alone. A stop you both agree to carries no charge and no strike for you.
5. Pricing, earnings, and payouts
You set your price. Customers pay Fro's 20% platform fee and a booking fee on top of it, so neither comes out of your price. For a completed booking you earn your listed price plus any tip.
- Payment is held until the customer confirms the job is done, or until 24 hours after you mark it done, whichever comes first. A dispute holds it longer.
- Earnings are paid to your Stripe account weekly or monthly, as you choose. Payout fees: 1.5% weekly, 0.8% monthly.
- "Withdraw now" pays out immediately for 5%, plus Stripe's own instant-payout fee.
- Every fee is shown in your wallet before it is taken. Fro will tell you in the app before any of these rates change.
6. Payments through Stripe
Payment processing services for providers on Fro are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (together, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to this addendum or continuing to operate as a provider on Fro, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as Stripe may modify it from time to time.
As a condition of Fro enabling payment processing through Stripe, you agree to give Fro accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorise Fro to share it, and transaction information about your use of Stripe's services, with Stripe. Stripe verifies your identity before paying out and collects the tax details needed for any tax form the law requires, such as Form 1099-K.
7. Disputes and refunds
If a customer opens a dispute, the booking is frozen and its payment held until Fro resolves it. You can give your side and any evidence through Report an Issue. Fro decides as a neutral party using the evidence on the platform, as set out in the Terms of Service.
If a refund is issued after you have been paid for that booking, Fro may recover the refunded amount from your future earnings.
8. Keep Fro bookings on Fro
Do not ask a customer you met through Fro to book or pay outside the app. Work arranged off the platform is not covered by Fro's payment protection or dispute process, and taking it there can end your provider access.
9. What customers see about you
To help customers choose, Fro shows them:
- Your name, username, photo, and bio
- Your services, prices, photos, and videos
- Your ratings, reviews, and completed-booking record
- Your live location while one of their bookings is active
Your contact details are not shared before a booking is confirmed. Do not offer anything in exchange for a review, or review your own services. How Fro handles your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Safety and conduct
Treat customers, their homes, and their property with respect. The Community Guidelines apply to you in full: no discrimination, harassment, or work that is unsafe or unlawful. Report anything that puts you or a customer at risk.
11. Pausing or ending provider access
You can stop providing at any time by pausing or removing your services. Fro may restrict, suspend, or end provider access for a breach of this addendum, the Terms of Service, or the Community Guidelines, and will tell you why. Earnings for completed work are still paid out, less anything held for an open dispute or refund. To ask Fro to look at a decision again, contact support.
12. Changes to this addendum
If this addendum changes, Fro will tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
